With the intuitive Microsoft® Office™ 2007 user interface, Ormetis Professional Edition combines and merges data from different sources, and in different formats (Excel™, text, etc.). It creates a new file of complete and accurate information correctly formatted and prepared for the next step. Based on simple drag and drop capabilities and using intuitive data manipulation functions such as rotate, combine, filter, sort, replace, etc., business workers easily create new files of fresh, organized data ready for reporting or analysis. The software keeps a record of all changes, enabling users at any time to alter a step or to save the whole process and automatically reapply it whenever the original data source is updated.

How Ormetis Professional Edition Works, in Five Easy Steps

Two sales orders are sent by two different customers. The files are in different formats, (one is an Excel table and the other is a CSV text file) and have different data structures (the columns are not in the same order).

Ormetis Professional Edition reads the two files, automatically understands the information within, and converts the files to tables.

Using the mouse to drag and drop one table next to the other in order to combine them, Ormetis Professional Edition automatically detects and resolves structural differences, e.g., where the columns are in a different order, and where the dates are in European vs. American formats. The two files are now integrated.

The toolbar options in Ormetis Professional Edition enable users to sort and filter the data, combine tables and columns, group and ungroup data, and to flip columns and rows or rotate the files to change the view of the tables.

Ormetis Professional Edition maintains a step-by-step history of the data transformation scenario, enabling the user to go back one or several steps at any time or to save and apply the process to other folders or files.
